Meet
Eric Missildine
Co-VP Business Development
A Bay Area native, Eric grew up in San Jose where he went to Bellarmine College Prep. He got a degree in Neurology, Physiology and Behavior from UC Davis and then moved to San Francisco, where he started working at Genentech. He spent six years working in the lab on protein synthesis and bacterial cell line development before going to business school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Eventually, Eric made his way back home to the Bay Area where he, along with his wife and newborn son, settled into their current home in Burlingame. They have been loving life in our beautiful community for ten years now.
Eric spent three years as the president of the Washington Elementary Dad's Club where his family quickly became a well known presence in that amazing community. Eric's wife, Erica was an active member of the Washington PTA and now serves as PTA Secretary at BIS. They have one son, Ace, who graduated from Washington and is now a BIS student. Ace loves all things sports and is a star pitcher and first baseman for his BYBA team.
When Eric's tenure as President of the Dad's Club came to an end, he was eager to explore new ways to support Burlingame schools. "If you ask Ace what his favorite class at Washington was, PE will be the response every time, Eric said. He added, "Ace also learned to play two different musical instruments while at Washington, and his experience was positively impacted by the other support services available to the students and their families at Burlingame schools. All of that was made possible by the efforts of BCE."
Joining the BCE board is a new and exciting new way for Eric to continue supporting the community and give back to the schools that offer such amazing teachers and programs for our children.
